Joan M. Mohrland

Joan M. Mohrland age 90 of Janesville died Thursday September 14, 2023, in her home. She was born January 13, 1933, to George and Heartha (Pagel) Sutte in Merrill, WI. Joan married Herman Mohrland on February 12, 1972. He preceded her in death on November 13, 2002. She was a longtime and active member of Christ Ev. Lutheran Church in Clinton, WI. Joan worked at Tom Peck Ford for many years in the office and as a driver. She also worked in the hospitality industry managing all aspects of the restaurant business. Joan and her son traveled to many home and away games as well as going to Super Bowl XXXII in San Diego as they rooted for the Green Bay Packers. She loved to travel to many NASCAR races throughout the country with her son, Richard. She also enjoyed cooking, canning, and sewing. Joan thrived living in a rural setting as she embraced her vegetable & flower gardens, and caring for her dogs, cats & chickens. She volunteered at Caritas, Bethesda and with the Ladies Aid at Church. JoJo will be sadly missed by all.

She is survived by her son, Richard; her two brothers, Dennis (Joanne) Sutte & Arlo Sutte and her sister, Illa (Delbert) Vertz

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband her two sons Alfred & Joey and her brother, Fred.

Joan’s Funeral Service will be 1:00 p.m. on Saturday September 23, 2023, at CHRIST Ev. LUTHERAN CHURCH, 300 High Street, Clinton, WI with Rev. Andrew M. Harris officiating. Friends will be received on Saturday in Church from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared on our website.
