John D. Driscoll, age 67, of Beloit died Tuesday, May 9, 2023, at home surrounded by his family.  He was born on October 9, 1955, in Janesville, WI to Douglas and Bertha Ann (Lyman) Driscoll.  John graduated from Turner in 1973. He married Marilyn S. Allen on July 28, 1988. He was employed at Fairbanks Morse as a flame cut operator, retiring in 1997. He and his wife Marilyn owned and operated Menucci’s restaurant in Monroe and then Lacrosse for ten years. To say that John loved fishing was an understatement.  He would fish wherever the fish were biting.  John’s love for the outdoors also involved hunting and was an active member of the Rock Valley Anglers.  He will be remembered as a loving and caring father, grandfather, and great grandfather.   

John is survived by his wife, Marilyn Driscoll: his five children, Aaron Driscoll, Valerie Driscoll, Martin (Melissa) Driscoll, Chris (Shannon) Olson, and Mathew (Maryann) Olson; eight grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren with one on the way; his sister, Janet (David) Hilt and many friends and neighbors.

He was predeceased by his parents, his brothers Ken & Theo, and his sister Debbie.

John’s Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 16, 2023, in the BRIAN MARK FUNERAL HOME, 1000 Inman Parkway, Beloit, WI with Lori Whitten officiating. Friends may greet the family from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be private. A light lunch will follow the funeral in our banquet hall.
