Kim Berner, age 67, passed away June 3, 2023, at home, surrounded by family after a valiant fight against lung cancer. He was born April 16, 1956, the son of Richard and Marjorie (Lamb) Berner. Kim worked for the Beloit School District for 42 years as a HVAC/Maintenance technician. He retired in 2021.
Kim loved fishing, camping, and enjoyed hunting with his boys and good friend Brian.
He is survived by his wife Mary of Beloit, his five children, Aaron (Alison) Bright of Holmen, Bill (Monica) Berner of Janesville, Brett (Lauren) Berner of Beloit, Amanda (David) Van Fleet of Beloit and Bob (Ashley) of Janesville. Grandchildren; Cain, Kara, Reagan, Daytona, Hunter B., Hunter T., Dakota, Sierra, Satine, Aspen, Dawson, Dylan, Delaney, Madysin and Mason; two brothers, Keith (Deb) and Kirk (Darlene).
Kim was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
The family would like to thank Beloit Cancer Center, Palliative Care and Beloit Hospice.
A gathering of remembrance will be on Saturday, June 10, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at BRIAN MARK FUNERAL HOME, 1000 Inman Parkway, Beloit. Memorials may be given to Beloit Regional Hospice in Kim’s name. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared on our website.
