Kristi Lynn Winters Obituary

Kristi Lynn Winters, age 75, passed away peacefully at her home on August 19, 2025.

Kristi was born on June 7, 1950, in Onalaska, Wisconsin to Jack and Norma Hoffman. She grew up in Onalaska, WI, and graduated from Onalaska High School in 1968.  She later worked as a medical transcriptionist for many different organizations, but the work she was most proud of was being a mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.

Kristi had a gift for connection. Whether it was one of her famously long phone calls that could stretch for hours, or her classic Midwest Goodbye, she made sure the people she loved always felt heard and cared for.

She looked forward to Sunday family dinners, trips with friends and family, and the laughter that filled those moments. Kristi enjoyed playing cards with her card group, hunting for treasures while thrifting, curling up with a good book, loving her pets, or heading to the casino for fun. But nothing brought her more joy than time with her grandchildren and her great-granddaughter, who always managed to put the brightest smile on her face.

She will be deeply missed by her children, Tiffany Winters, Matthew (Jingle) Winters, and Justin (Lindsey) Winters; her grandchildren, Rebecca (Matteo) Lopez, Kodi Winters, Ryan (Katie) Simonson, Kobe Winters, and Kingston Winters; and her great-granddaughter, Emma Lopez. She is also survived by her brothers Brian (Marita) Hoffman and Jay Hoffman; her sister Brenda (Greg) Zitzmann; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends who loved her dearly.

Kristi was welcomed into heaven by her parents, Jack and Norma, and her brothers, Steve and Mark.

A celebration of Kristi’s life will be held at Brian Mark Funeral Home, 1000 Inman Parkway, Beloit, WI 53511, on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at 11:00 AM. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
