Larry Reddy Obituary

Larry Reddy age 80 of Allens Grove, WI died on Sunday November 26, 2023 at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. He was born March 20, 1943 to Floyd and Geraldine (Wald) Reddy in Beloit, WI. Larry married Karen Henning on May 4, 1968. She preceded him in death on May 22, 2013. He graduated from Clinton High School, class of 1961. Larry was enlisted into the US Army in 1964 and served his Country in Germany as a military police specialist until his honorable discharge in 1966. He owned and operated LC Machining and diligently worked to ensure its success. Larry also worked at Durst as a Mechanical Engineer. Prior to retirement, he worked part-time for NACD in Rockton- as a mentor, trainer, and leader in special projects. Larry was an extraordinary man, who was selfless, kind, had a witty sense of humor which was expressed in a way making those around him feel at home. In his retirement, he looked forward to creating art with his laser engraver, fishing, and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was an active member at the Delavan Gun Club & the American Legion in Darien. Larry enjoyed fishing, hunting and being outdoors. He also enjoyed fishing trips to Canada with his buddy, Chuck Pila. Larry was a Boy Scout leader for many years. He was known as a mentor to many, and inspired his children to pursue education, through his love for guiding others. Larry enjoyed his daily breakfast with his friends and family Clinton Kitchen. He loved them all dearly.

Larry is survived by his son, John (Jaime) Reddy, daughter Susan (Bob) Buss; grandchildren Graham (Ciana) Reddy, Arwynne Buss, Adeline Buss, Levi Buss, August Reddy, Wyatt Buss; sister Sandra (Laverne) Hays; brother-in-law Bill Henning; sisters-in-law Jaye Reddy and Darlene Henning; nephews Wade (Liz) Reddy, Kyle (Lori) Reddy, Steven (Melinda) Hays, Matthew (Lori) Hays, Michael (Megan) Hays, Jeff Henning; nieces Tammy (Dave) Scott, Amber Henning, and many additional family and friends.

The family would like to thank the staff at Mayo Clinic for the care they gave Larry.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Karen and his brother Floyd Reddy.

Larry’s Funeral Services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday December 5, 2023 in the BRIAN MARK FUNERAL HOME 1000 Inman Parkway, Beloit.  Friends will be received on Tuesday in the Funeral Home from 12 noon until the time of service. Interment in Mt. Philip Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared on our website.
