Leroy "Sam" C. Krueger

Leroy “Sam” Carl Krueger, age 86, died peacefully on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, in his home surrounded by his loved ones. He was born August 7, 1937, to Ernest and Rosetta “Irene” (Brigham) Krueger, in Rib Lake, WI.  Sam graduated from Medford High School in 1956. He married, Lynette Minor on June 27, 1959, at West Side Presbyterian Church. Sam had a long career with Chrysler Automotive where he proudly worked as a welder until his retirement in 1996.  He enjoyed cheering for the Wisconsin Badger, Milwaukee Brewers, Bucks and Green Bay Packers.  In his younger years interests included roller skating and ice skating. Further interests in his life included: bowling, fishing, family camping trips with a 1972 V.W. Camper, traveling to Alaska, Disney Cruises and any time spent with family.

He is survived by his wife, Lynette; children, Wendy (Dale) Voshell, Kandi (Mike) Bosch and Phillip Krueger, step-granddaughter, Jessica Bosch, sisters, June Skinner, Lila Strebe, brother Norman Krueger, in-laws Judi Krueger, Elaine Seager, Phil Minor, Shannon Seager, Kurt and Shane Seager, Lori (Kyle) Kasten, extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Harvey, Gary, Vernon, sisters, Janet Haenel and Mildred Haenel.

The family would like to thank the staff of Beloit Regional Hospice with special acknowledgement to Chad, Lisa, Jenna, Joanna and Mark for the excellent care and compassion they gave Sam.

Sam’s Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 15, 2023, in the BRIAN MARK FUNERAL HOME, 1000 Inman Parkway, Beloit with Chaplain Mark Maxted officiating. Friends will be received on Friday in the funeral home from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service. Interment will follow at Floral Lawns Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Sam’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association and Beloit Regional Hospice.
