Lorraine D. Toubl

Lorraine Dorothy Toubl age 98 of Beloit, WI died on October 31, 2024 in Beloit, WI at the Suites at Beloit Assisted Living. She was born December 29, 1925 to Frank and Anna (Karas) West in Beloit, WI. She was a life long resident of Beloit.  Lorraine graduated from Beloit Memorial High School, Class of 1944.  She married Vito Bua on June 24, 1944 at St. Paul’s Church in Beloit, WI. He predeceased her on March 23, 1969. Lorraine married Raymond Toubl on July 3, 1976. He predeceased her on June 8, 1996.  Lorraine worked for the Wisconsin Telephone Company and the A & P Grocery Store in Beloit. Alongside her second husband, Raymond Toubl, Lorraine co-managed Big Hill Game Birds from 1980 to 1996.

She enjoyed playing her Lowry chord organ and doing embroidery projects in her spare time before the pheasant business. She was a stay at home mom until 1961. She enjoyed gardening and canning tomatoes.  Lorraine’s legacy is marked by her dedication to family and her appreciation of the rural life she lived until she moved to The Suites at Beloit in 2018. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew her.

Lorraine was preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Betty West, sister and brother-in-law, Marjorie and Jack Farina, her son Joseph M. Bua, and her daughter-in-law Sharon E. Bua.

She is survived by her daughter, Anne Bua-Demus; son-in-law, Peter Demus; granddaughters, Rose Barker ( Caleb) and Allison Bua-Demus; stepsons, Jan Toubl (Karen), Jay Toubl, and Jerry Toubl; step-daughter, Judy Anderson (Jim); brother-in-law, Frank Bua; numerous step-grandchildren and great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the staff at Beloit regional Hospice & the Suites of Beloit for the care given to Lorraine. With a special thank you to Hospice nurses Denise, Tawnya, Tonya and Stephanie, and Suites staff members Wanda, Judi and Theresa.

A memorial gathering is planned to honor and remember Lorraine’s life at 1:00-3:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 16, 2024 in the BRIAN MARK FUNERAL HOME, 1000 Inman Parkway, Beloit. A private burial will take place at a later date. In Lieu of flowers, memorials contributions can be made to Beloit Regional Hospice, an organization close to her heart.
