Martin P. Burdick age 63 of South Beloit, IL died Monday March 23, 2020 at Beloit Memorial Hospital. He was born October 3, 1956 to the late Norman and Betty (Loop) Burdick in Batavia, New York. Martin graduated from Bolivar High School, class of 1974. He enlisted into the U.S. Navy on August 18, 1975 and served his Country until his honorable discharge on September 21, 1979. Martin married Mary L Carroll on April 2, 1990 in Las Vegas, NV. He was employed as a supervisor by Southland Corporation (formerly Pate Foods) in South Beloit, IL and also worked as a truck driver until his retirement in 2012. Martin enjoyed fishing, golf and watching NASCAR. He was an avid Buffalo Bills fan and always looked forward to watching their games. Martin will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Burdick of South Beloit; his brother Sean Burdick; his mother in law, Joanne Carroll; his sister in law, Cathy (Jim) Terpstra; his brother in law, Leroy Carroll and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his two sisters, Barbara & Mary Lois.
Public Funeral Services for Martin will be held at a later date. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established. Please share a memory or a condolence with the family on our website.
