Maureen Bailey-McCawley age 65, of South Beloit passed away Saturday October 15, 2022 in her home. She was born September 6, 1957 to the late William and Georgina (Thompson) McCawley in Beloit. Maureen graduated from Beloit Memorial High School, class of 1975. She married David Bailey on August 5, 1989. Maureen was employed by Freeman Shoes and Ecolab until her retirement. Maureen enjoyed fishing, being with family and camping. She also enjoyed her many pets, especially "Kimber" and painting rocks. She will be remembered for her kindness, her beautiful smile and being a good friend to all.

She is survived by her husband, David Bailey; her step daughter, Leanne Bailey, her sister, Lorraine (Maurice) Kehoe; her brother William (Francis Hurt) McCawley; her mother in law, Zel Aufderhaar; her brother in laws, Steven Bailey & David VanderKooi; sister in laws, Maggie (Russ) Johnson & Donna Boss. She is further survived by her nieces, Kelly (Scott) Hanaman, Ronda (David)  Frook, Renee (Leroy) Boss, Marcy (Ken) Penge, Robin (Mike) Richey, Lisa (Dave) McCawley, Melissa Olmstead VanderKooi; her nephews, Tyrone (Sonja) Kehoe, Trent (Kelly) Kehoe, Michael VanderKooi, Matthew (Melissa) VanderKooi, Daniel McCawley, Cody Johnson, Ryan Johnson and many great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her two brothers, George McCawley & Robert McCawley, her sister, Colleen VanderKooi, her sister in laws Judith Ann (Griesman) McCawley & Patricia Beebe Olsen and her two nephews Ronald McCawley & Robert McCawley.

The family is deeply grateful for the outpouring of love and support from family and friends. A special thank you to the staff at Hospice for the wonderful care Maureen received.

Maureen's Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. on Thursday October 20, 2022 in the BRIAN MARK FUNERAL HOME, 1000 Inman Parkway, Beloit. Friends will be received on Thursday in the Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared on the website.
