Minna “Betty” Edwards, 92, of Beloit, passed away peacefully in her home on Saturday, October 18, 2025. She was born in Roscoe, IL on March 5, 1933, to the late Wilbert and Margaret Adwell. She married Richard “Dick” Edwards on October 24 1953, he predeceased her on June 8, 2020. Together they had two sons. 

Betty spent many years serving as a school lunch lady for Turner School District. When her boys were younger she was den mother for Cub Scouts, was active in the Beloit Boys Choir, she enjoyed baking, cooking, camping, traveling every summer, sun tanning on her patio, and was an avid Green Bay Packers fan. Later in life she looked forward to trips to Las Vegas with her friends, and traveling the entire United States with her husband, Dick, for his job with Wisconsin Knife Works, but above all, she loved being a grandmother and great-grandmother. 

Survivors include her son, David “Eddy” (Sheri) Edwards, grandchildren; Benjamin (Yari) Edwards, Bryce (Michael) Edwards, Ashley Edwards, great- grandchildren; Mia, Marley, Cyrus, and Shyann Edwards, sister-in-law; Pam Edwards, and many extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son; Brian Edwards, siblings; Irene, Ruth, Anetta, Lucielle, and Mark, brothers-in-law; Don(Annie), Roger(Iona), and Jim Edwards, and sister-in-law; Janice Edwards. Also the many friends she and Dick shared that are now gone.

The family would like to thank the staff at Beloit Regional Hospice, Ivanna Moskviak, and Maria Levina from Care Referral Services of Roscoe, for providing loving care to the mother we loved on her last days. We are forever grateful.
