Orlin E. McLain

Orlin E. McLain age 86, died Friday February 14, 2020 in his home. He was born May 17, 1933 to the late Orlin P. and Vera (Hineman) McLain in LaValle, WI. Orlin graduated from Beloit Memorial High School, class of 1951. He married Donna Babb on July 18, 1953 in First United Methodist Church. She preceded him in death on September 12, 2011. He served in the United States Air Force until his honorable discharge. Orlin worked for GM for 34 years, retiring in 2008. He enjoyed going to the cabin to relax and fish as well as overhauling tractors with his friends.

He is survived by his two children, Todd (Deb) McLain and Deana (David) Plantenberg both of Beloit; his grandchildren, Sarah (Matthew) Lichtfuss and Jeremy (Dana) McLain; his great grandchildren, Noah McLain, Lilly McLain & Donavan McLain. He is further survived by his sisters in law, Evelynn McLain & Marilyn McLain, his good friend, Jimmy Warden and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Donna; brothers Leroy, and Lawrence; daughter in law Diane; and grandson Mathew

The family would like to thank Heartland Hospice for the care they gave Orlin.
