Robert “Bob” Gallagher age 85 of Beloit passed away Saturday December 31, 2022, at Alden Meadow Park in Clinton, WI. He was born October 14, 1937, to the late Lloyd and Rose (Glaser) Gallagher in South Dakota. Bob married Beverly Lanning on November 24, 1955. She preceded him in death on May 13, 2001. He worked as a pipefitter for Steamfitter Local 601 for may years, retiring in February of 2001. Bob was an accomplished Marksman; he was greatly skilled in precision shooting and earned many awards over his many years of competition. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, particularly deer and pheasant, with his many German shorthaired pointers he had through the years. Bob and Beverly enjoyed taking their children and grandchildren camping when they were younger.

Bob is survived by his three children, Glenda Buhmeyer, Greg (Shelly) Gallagher & Mary (Tom) Pittner; twenty-two grandchildren, Charlie (Danielle), Julie, Jennifer, Bob (Jamie), Jon (Erica) Crystal (Malcolm), Jeanie (Matt), Nicole (John), Stacy (Brandon), Sarah (Matt) & Jacob (Alyssa); eleven great grandchildren; his two brothers, Mike (Diane) Gallagher & Richard (Donna) Gallagher; his four sisters, DeAnna (Bill) Kropp, Sandy Fitting, Jean McNab & Linda (Gary) Hanus and a host of other family & friends.

He was predeceased by his parents, his loving & devoted wife, Beverly and his twin grandsons.

Private family burial will take place in Avon Cemetery. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared on our website.
