Beloit- Robert “Bob” Zinn, age 87, passed away on July 15, 2025, at Willowick Memory Care, Beloit, WI. Robert was born in Pontotoc, Mississippi to John Zinn and Artis McGlaun on March 4, 1938.
Robert graduated from high school, after high school he worked at Chrysler for several years, then he joined the United States Army and proudly served his country from 1960 until his honorable discharge in 1962. After the military he worked at General Motors for 31 years until retirement in 1999. Robert met Vickie Welch in 2000, and they married in 2015.
Robert enjoyed spending time outside gardening, spending time with his grandchildren, and watching his favorite tv shows Family Feud and Ridiculousness.
Robert is survived by his wife Vickie; Children, Della, Melvin (Tina), Brian (Tiffany), and Erica (Ed); 19 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; Sisters, Gladys and Betty; multiple nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Shawna; grandson, Tezzy; brother, James; stepmom, Sadie.
A funeral service will be held at Brian Mark Funeral Home, 1000 E Inman Pkwy, Beloit, WI 53511, on July 22, 2025, at 12:00 Noon. A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 11:00 AM until the time of service. Following the service, a graveside service will be held at East Lawn Cemetery with military honors.
