Our Savior Jesus Christ has destroyed death and brought life and immortality to light through the Gospel. Let us remember with thanksgiving what God has done through His servant Roger.

Roger Allen Stenberg was given life by his creator and was born on June 24, 1940, the child of Gustaf and Evelyn (Anderson) Stenberg. On December 24, 1944, he received the gift of Holy Baptism and became a child of God. On June 6, 1954 he publicly confessed his faith and was confirmed. He received the precious gift of the Lord’s life-giving body and blood. On December 18, 1999 he received the gift of a beloved companion in his spouse, Marcia Huth. He was blessed with the gift of children, Steven, Katharine, and Julie; 9 grandchildren. God blessed Roger’s life with many special people as he served God in his vocations at home, church, work, and in the community. Finally, on April 22, 2026, God blessed Roger with holy death and took him home to rest in the arms of Jesus to await the resurrection of the dead. 

The Lord gives and the Lord takes away; blessed be the name of the Lord. We give thanks to God our father through Jesus Christ, our Lord, for our brother Roger.

A funeral service will take place on Thursday, April 30, 2026 at 11AM at St. John’s Lutheran Church- 1000 Bluff St. Beloit. A visitation will be held from 10AM until the time of service at church. Burial will take place at a later date at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove, WI. The family is being assisted by ROSMAN & BRIAN MARK FUNERAL HOMES.
