Ronald “Ron” E. Torkilson, 75, of Clinton, WI passed away on April 1, 2026 at Beloit Memorial Hospital with his family by his side. He was born on December 25, 1950 to the late Marlin and Beverly (Elliott) Torkilson. Ron married his High School sweetheart  Debora Schulz on May 20, 1972. Together they shared nearly 54 years of marriage. 

Ron was a farmer most of his life, working on the family farm. He was proudly dedicated to his community serving as an EMT and firefighter for Clinton Fire Department for over 25 years, as well as serving on the village board in Clinton.

Ron was a faithful member of Jefferson Prairie Lutheran Church. He was an organist for over 50 years. He enjoyed bowling, playing cards, family game nights, gardening, tending to the yard, and all Wisconsin sports teams. Above all, Ron was most proud of being a husband and a father. 

Survivors include his wife, Deb; his son, Ryan; siblings, Sandra (Chris Chisnell) Hargrave, Gary (Cory) Torkilson, Brian (Carrie) Torkilson, as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family, and close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marlin and Beverly Torkilson.

The family would like to thank Dr. Patel, as well as the Oncology Department at Beloit Memorial Hospital for the care and support given to Ron. 

Memorial services will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2026 at 11AM at Jefferson Prairie Lutheran Church- 23184 Bergen Rd, Poplar Grove, IL. A visitation will take place from 10AM until service time. An additional visitation will take place on Wednesday, April 8, 2026 at Jefferson Prairie Lutheran Church from 4PM-7PM. The family is being assisted by ROSMAN & BRIAN MARK FUNERAL HOMES.
