Ronald Warren Obituary

Ronald R. Warren, age 86, of Rockton, IL and Clinton, WI, died Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at Azura Memory Care in Clinton, with his loving wife of over 66 years by his side. He was born in his childhood home in Blaine, IL to Ralph and Louise (Erbantraut) Warren on January 15, 1938. He graduated from North Boone High School, Class of 1956. He married Charlene May Zimmerman on May 11, 1957, in Rockford, IL. Together, they raised three sons, on a farm, and in later years, enjoyed retirement in Arizona. Ronald was a farmer his whole life, starting in childhood. After having a family of his own, he started as a dairy farmer, who went on to raise livestock, and ended his time farming with a grain farm. He was known to dislike the cold, and in his time as a grain farmer, spent his winters in Florida and Arizona. He was known for his love of golf, John Deere farming equipment, playing cards, and a good steak. For many years, he and his wife owned the “Dairy Haus” in Rockton, where their recipes are still used today. He was briefly a member of the Lions Club in Capron and enjoyed bowling.

Ronald is survived by his loving wife Charlene, his children Mike (Jody) Warren, Greg (Brenda) Warren, Phil (Kathy) Warren; grandchildren Heather (Daryl) Vander Pal, Christopher (Alyssa Huff) Warren, Rebecca (Mike) Thomason, Rachael (Jason) Peters, and Danielle Waltman; great-grandchildren Leona, Dayton, Keylee, Haylee, Anna, Brennan, Gabriel, Connor, and Mackensie; sister Mary Monanhan; and many other beloved family, friends, and neighbors.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Donna Redner, brother Bill Warren, and grandson Jarrett Warren.

The family would like to thank the staff of Beloit Regional Hospice and Azura Memory Care in Clinton for their dedicated care, with special thanks to Rhonda and Carmen, for going above and beyond, with care, kindness, and support.
