Scott Klicko age 48 of Capron, died Monday, November 20, 2023 at Swedish American Hospital in Rockford. He was born January 22, 1975 to Fredrick and Susan Klicko in Harvard, IL. Scott graduated from North Boone High School in 1993. He attended Kishwaukee College and Dallas Baptist College. Scott worked for Labor Union 1035 as a construction worker.
Scott was known for being an outstanding athlete in every sport. He played baseball in high school and college, as well as playing football. Scott was a Bears fan and loved the Cubs. He enjoyed bowling, dirt biking, and his Harley Davidsons. Scott was also known for his talent and love of the drums.
He is survived by his mother, Susan; his sons Brandon Klicko & Stephen Nelson; his daughter Kylie Nelson; his sisters Barb (Denny) Ulrich & Brenda (Marc) Braun; his nephews Dustin (Brenda), Josh, Brett (Sara), and Trey; his niece Emily (Austin); great-nieces Aubrey, Kynli, Charlotte; great-nephew Dusty; his beloved dog, Max “The Mayor”, and many aunts, uncles, family members, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, his son Caden, and his grandmother Violet.
The family would like to thank the staff at Swedish American, with an extra special thanks to the Critical Care Unit for their extraordinary care.
Scott’s Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, November 26, 2023 at the BRIAN MARK FUNERAL HOME 504 Milwaukee Road, Clinton, with Pastor Bob Brown officiating. Friends and family will be received in the Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow the service at Capron Cemetery, at 12 noon. There will be a luncheon at Lions Park, Capron, following the burial. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established in Scott’s name.
