Sharon Ann Sweet, age 80, died Saturday June 17, 2023, in her home. She was born June 1, 1943, to Floyd and Charlotte (Wells) Mott in Monroe, WI. Sharon graduated from Beloit Memorial High School, class of 1961. She married James W. Sweet on November 13, 1965, at Grace Methodist Church in Beloit, WI. He preceded her in death on June11, 2012. Sharon worked at Savage Distributing, Beloit Daily News and First National Bank and Trust as a bookkeeper, retiring from First National Bank. She was a member of the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed bowling, golf, playing cards and was an avid teddy bear collector. Sharon also enjoyed traveling, especially to northern Wisconsin, Arizona, and Mississippi. She was an avid Green Bay Packer fan and cheered for her beloved Chicago Cubs.
Sharon is survived by her son, Mark (Dianna) Sweet of Beloit and her daughter, Paige (Kevin) Rand of Mukwonago, WI; her sister, Kendra (John) Heinze of Beloit; seven grandchildren, Hannah, Wyatt & Noah Sweet, Ariel (Brannon) Thompson, Bailey (Jose) Gutierrez, Payton and Jordan Rand; three great grandchildren and several cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, her brothers, Craig & Richard and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A time to honor and celebrate Sharon’s life is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday June 27, 2023, in the BRIAN MARK FUNERAL HOME, 1000 Inman Parkway, Beloit, WI. Friends may greet the family on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service in the funeral home. Burial will follow the luncheon at Eastlawn Cemetery. A Memorial Fund is being established in Sharon’s name. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared on our website. Sharon’s service will be live streamed on our website.
