Tammy Nowak Obituary

Tammy R. Nowak, age 59 of Beloit, passed away Saturday June 15, 2024 at Beloit Memorial Hospital. She was born September 9, 1964 to Ronald and Ann (Cooley) Zezniewski in Chicago, IL. Tammy graduated from West Leyden High School, in Franklin Park, IL. After school, Tammy married Wayne J. Nowak on January, 5, 1981, in Du Page County, IL. They spent more than 44 unbelievably beautiful years together- where they loved deeply & unconditionally. Tammy started her 15+ years with UPS in Rockford, IL, as an air handler, where she loaded and unloaded aircraft. Tammy was an avid Chicago Bears fan, who was known for her dedication to the team. She enjoyed helping at St. Edwards when her boys were growing up. Spending time with family, especially grandchildren, was her greatest joy in life and center of her universe. Tammy will be remembered for the way she made her children feel, always reminding them how much she loved them, and how proud she was of them. Tammy was known for being a life-long learner, dedicated to gaining knowledge. She attended Hillsdale College, having taken over 40 classes. Tammy and Wayne had the pleasure of meeting many celebrities during their years with their limo company; however, Tammy remains Wayne’s biggest celebrity. Tammy will be remembered by everyone who had the honor of knowing her for her big heart. Over the years, she took in many people as her own child, ensuring that they felt both loved and special.

She is survived by her husband, Wayne Nowak; her three sons, Eric (Katie) Nowak of Clinton, Dan (Sarah) Nowak of South Beloit, Keith (Chloe) Nowak of Beloit; grandchildren Ashton Nowak, Brady Nowak, Ella Nowak, Emilie Lounsbury, Hanna (David) Casique, Jaxson Frey, Carley Smosarski, Kendra Nowak, Lexi Nowak, and Kendrick Mattelig; great-grandchild Eli; sisters Amy Ciepley, Trina Wichert; brother Robert (Belinda) Zezniewski; family friend Angie Mattelig, and many other beloved nieces, nephews, friends, family, and neighbors.

She was preceded in death by her beloved son Jordan Ray Nowak, her dad Ronald Zezniewski, grandmother Mamie Robertson, father Winifred Robertson, and mother-in-law Charlene Nowak.

The family would like to thank the Hospice staff at Beloit Memorial Hospital for the care they gave Tammy, with special thank you to the nursing staff.
