Wanda Augusta Brohn, age 87, of Middleton, WI died Thursday September 5, 2024, in her home surrounded by her family. She was born December 21, 1936, to Ross and Bertha Smith in Beloit, WI. She graduated from Beloit Memorial High School, Class of 1954. Wanda earned her associate’s degree from UW Whitewater and later finished her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. She married Lynn C. Brohn on June 18, 1960, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Beloit. Lynn preceded her in death on July 7, 2010. She was a long-time member of Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church & Christ Ev. Lutheran Church. Wanda started teaching in Rockton; and later moved to the Clinton School District until her retirement. She was a member of Intermediate Women, several book clubs, the Beloit Rifle Club and the Wisconsin Education Association. Wanda and Lynn were snowbirds who enjoyed many winters in Gulf Shores, AL with family, friends and extended family. She enjoyed reading books, sewing, fashion & shopping. Wanda also enjoyed coffee social groups, especially at the Clinton Kitchen. She will be remembered as a wife, mother, teacher and friend. Wanda will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her three children, Lynda (Brian) Buss, Marc Brohn and Matthew (Amanda) Brohn; nine grandchildren; and four great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her sister, Charlene Becker and her brother, Danny Smith.

Wanda’s Funeral Service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Friday September 13, 2024, in the BRIAN MARK FUNERAL HOME, 1000 Inman Parkway, Beloit with Skip Miller officiating. Friends will be received on Friday in the Funeral Home from 12 noon until the time of service. Following the service the cortege will process to Eastlawn Cemetery for interment.
