William “Bill” C. Phifer age 79 of Rockton, IL died Thursday April 3, 2025, at River Bluff Nursing Home. He was born on August 31, 1945, to George and Della Ann (Burden) Phifer in Whitesville, WV. Bill graduated from Sterling High School, class of 1963. He was enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1964 and served his Country until his time of discharge. Bill was an active member in the Emmanuel Community Church in Clinton, WI. He loved nature and enjoyed collecting coins.

He is survived by his brother, David (Nancy) Phifer, and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and his sister, Earlene Guy.  

The family would like to thank the staff at River Bluff Nursing Home for the care they gave Bill.

Bill’s graveside service will be held at 11:000 a.m. on Tuesday April 8, 2025, in the Clinton Cemetery with Rev. Chad Strabbing officiating. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared on our website.
