William "Chris" Lawrence

William "Chris" Lawrence age 61 of Clinton died unexpectedly on Wednesday August 18, 2021 in his home. He was born July 16, 1960 in Long Beach, CA. Chris graduated from Harlem High School, class of 1979. He worked for Coca Cola for may years in the distribution department. Chris was a member of River of Life United Methodist Church in Clinton. He enjoyed cribbage, fishing, hunting and gardening. Chris loved to spoil his children & grandchildren. He also had a special place in his heart for his cats. Chris will be remembered for his laughter and unconditional love for his family. 

He is survived by his children, Carlene Lawrence, Katie (Alex Chism) Dillon, Angela "Lucy" Nowak and Michael (Kristin) Mattelig; eight grandchildren; his brother, Steven (Karen) Knutsen and the Ray & Donna Knutsen family.

He was preceded in death by Ken & Ruth Byerley and his maternal grandparents.

Chris's Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 23, 2021 in the RIVER OF LIFE METHODIST CHURCH, 402 Church Street, Clinton with Tom Alverson officiating. Friends will be received on Monday in the Church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial to follow in the Clinton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established.
